Роман “Капетанова кћи” (у редукцији није вредно читања, ако желите да осетите осећања хероја) читаоцу ће испричати о догађајима описаним у мемоарима племића Гринева ПА, човека од педесет година. Рад говори о устанку изазваном побуњеничким Пугачевом, у којем је Петар Андреевич, као седамнаестогодишњи официр, несвјесно учествовао.

У ироничном облику, Гриневова сјећања на дјетињство читаоцу представља А. С. Пушкин. “Капетанова кћерка” говори о племенитом господину који је јурио голубове и играо скок с локалним момцима. Гринев се присјећа да је, још док је био у материци, већ био уписан као наредник у Семеновој пуковнији. Надгледао је Петрушу као дете Савелицх, који је добио дечаков стричеве за трезан начин живота.

У роману (у чланку се даје кратка прича) “Капетанова кћи” нам говори да је, када је Гринев имао седамнаест година, његов отац одлучио да пошаље свог сина да служи, не у Санкт Петербургу, већ у регуларну војску у Оренбургу. Снови о младом Петру о веселом и бриљантном животу у главном граду се руше, замењују их очекивања досаде на далекој и глувој страни.

Када се Гринев и Савелицх приближе Оренбургу, они су затечени снежном олујом. Кибитка лута у мећави, залутала. А. С. Пушкин наставља свој роман спашавајући ликове. “Капетанова кћерка” прича причу о човеку који се случајно срео са путником и који их доводи у своје способности. Водич је веома лагано обучен, а Гринев му представља своју кожу и вино као знак захвалности за његово спасење.

Из Оренбурга, Петар је послан да служи у тврђави Белгород, која се показала као једноставно село. Нема ни храброг гарнизона, ни страшне артиљерије, већ само инвалида и старог топа.

Даље, роман “Капетанова ћерка” читаоца упознаје са командантом тврђаве Мироновом, Иваном Кузмићем, његовом супругом Василисом Егоровном и њиховом кћерком Масхом. Гринев за њих постепено постаје “аутохтон” и постаје везан за љубазну и поштену породицу.

Поручник Схвабрин постаје близак Петру због свог образовања, доби и занимања. Али ускоро долази до сукоба између њих на основу заједничке симпатије према Масхи Миронова, која завршава двобојем. Читајући роман “Капетанова кћи” у скраћеници, препознајемо Гриневову повреду у овој борби. Маша се брине о њему, а млади се међусобно препознају са симпатијама.

Да ли је А.С. Пушкин био заљубљен заједно? Капетанова ћерка је без жене, а Гриневов отац им забрањује да се удају. Петар пада у потиштеност и повлачи се. Изненадни напад на побуњеничку тврђаву на челу са побуњеничком Пугачевом Јемељаном за њега постаје добар емоционални шок.

Тврђава је пала, заробљеници полажу заклетву вођи банде, међу њима и Гринев. Убијају команданта и његову супругу, помилује Петер Пугацхев. Испоставља се да је побуњеник скитница коме је Гринев дао капут од овчје коже.

Атаман банде разговара са Петером и, задивљен његовом искреношћу, ослобађа официра. Гринев јури у Оренбург да тражи помоћ, јер је Масха остала у тврђави. Пре свега, Петар се плаши да је његов непријатељ Схвабрин именован за команданта. Није губио време присиљавајући девојку да се уда за њега.

Грињеву је ускраћена помоћ, а сам иде у тврђаву. Како поново долази до побуњеника, Петар упознаје Пугацхева и објашњава разлог свог путовања. Побуњеник одлучи казнити Схвабрина и спасити Масху.

Какав је коначни резултат припрема читалац за А.С. Пушкин? Капетанова ћерка је пуштена и одлази код Гриневиних родитеља као његова невјеста. Сам младожења, остајући у војсци, бори се са побуњеницима. Схвабрин говори о њему, излажући шпијуна. Петар је ухапшен, чека везу са вечним насељем у Сибиру.

Масха спашава свог љубавника од срама, тражећи милост од Гринева од саме краљице. Царица је слушала девојку и опростила Петру.
